Abbott and Costello Visit the Ncaa Football Ranks

Don’t you just love this time of year? Wait a minute… This isn’t the usual autumn Saturday in the NCAA ranks. The leftover unbeatens are now dropping from the top 5 as the 6-10 make their push in this merry-go-round with the pollers.

I believe we can determine now that it’s going to be a miracle to see anything over 1 undefeated team from major conferences. So now comes the speculation on who’s going to be there when the time comes to set the bowls, and better yet, who’s coming out on top of this poll?

Just to give you a quick glimpse of my own top 5 (I am a UGA fan, but no bias here)..

#5 USC – Back to their old defensive ways in a 28-0 rout of a major disappointment in an Arizona State team that was supposed to give the Pac-10 teams a run for their money. The 1-loss teams are now beginning to seep into the top 5 as the Trojans get back into title talks.

#4 Florida – After dismantling the LSU Tigers by 30, they are back on their feet

Copyright © 2008 Ed Bagley

Both Boise State and Ball State are 11-0 so far this season and have earned some bragging rights. After all, they are 2 of only 4 teams that remain undefeated among the 119 Division 1-A schools at this point in the college football season. Utah is 12-0 and Alabama is 11-0.

Entering Saturday’s competition (11-22-08), Alabama was ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Poll, Utah was No. 8, Boise State was No. 9 and Ball State No. 14. Perhaps even more important, the BCS Standings had Alabama at No. 1, Utah at No. 7, Boise State at No. 9 and Ball State at No. 17.

I do not have any problem with Alabama and Utah’s rankings in either poll, but I have some serious problems with Boise State and Ball State being ranked so high.

The players, coaches, fans, boosters and citizens of Boise, Idaho (home of the Boise State Broncos) and of Muncie, Indiana (home of the Ball State Cardinals) should be understandably

The Tampa Bay Rays’ baseball facility appears to be a good set-up for the under armour high school football game 2010. They put down field turf over the basepaths and where the pitcher’s mound usually is the St. Petersburg Bowl between Rutgers and UCF two weeks ago and kept it for today’s game. They have added a huge Under Armour All-America logo at midfield and painted “Under Armour” in the end zones.

I’ve been very impressed with the way this bowl is run. It’s definitely a first-class event and a whale of an experience for the players. Tony Dungy, the former NFL coach from these parts and one of the most inspirational men you’ll ever meet, spoke to the players at breakfast the Hilton St. Petersburg this morning.

              History

Truman State University was founded in 1867 by Joseph Baldwin as the First Missouri Normal School and Commercial College. Baldwin was considered a pioneer in education, and his school quickly gained official recognition in 1870 by the Missouri General Assembly, which designated it as the first public teaching college in Missouri.

A region of 25 Missouri counties was designated as the school’s college district; these counties included Adair, Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Chariton, Clark, Howard, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Macon, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Putnam, Ralls, Randolph, St. Charles, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby, Sullivan and Warren.

As the school continued to grow, Basil Brewer wrote the school song “The Purple and White” in 1902. The song’s popularity prompted the university to adopt the school colors as purple and white. Thirteen years later, in 1915, the bulldog

SEC Championship Football Tickets – Place Your Bets on Florida

Winning the SEC title game has been a prerequisite for winning the BCS National Championship for a while now, so it would make sense to place an NCAA Football futures bet on the winner of the SEC title game and then parlay that with the national champion. I recommend an imaginary investment (or a legal one done in Las Vegas or offshore) in the Florida Gators, because at this point they look like the best team in the SEC. Still, strange things can and often do happen, so betting on Alabama might net nice profits in this time of economic slowdown. Georgia is an outside shot at this point, but also worth looking at, so I’ll give you gamblers the deal with the Bulldogs, too.

Why Bet on Florida?

Even though Alabama holds the No. 1 spot in the polls, while Florida is at No. 3, Florida is still a better choice to win the SEC and National Title Game. At 6-1 in the SEC, they are a game ahead of their closest rival in the SEC East, Georgia,

Here’s the deal, University of Georgia’s football coach & basketball coach are bothnamed Mark, and Georgia Tech’s football coach & basketball coach are both named Paul. You follow?

Anyway, today, we’re gonna compare all of them and then you have to decide. Mark & Mark vs. Paul & Paul. They come as a set and cannot be split up. There’s a poll set up to see who wins, because what’s the point of pitting Georgia Tech & the University of Georgia against each other if somebody doesn’t win.

Richt

Following a little more than a decades worth of disappointment at the hands of Ray Goff & Jim Donnan, Mark Richt came to Athens having coached two Heisman winners & been part of two National Championships. Quite the resume for a young coach. Vince Dooley and Michael Adams loved him, and soon the Georgia faithful would as well. Richt

College sports collectibles are products available in the market with pictures of sports players or about different teams. There are games which have cards that are filled with colors of popular teams or have the various players on them as logo. These college sports collectibles are considered to be priceless and people go to great extents to preserve them. For many the hobby of collecting sports related cards and books begins when they are very young. Once they develop a passion for a sport or admire a player, they begin to collect pictures, articles, news items, posters and other items related to that person. In schools, children can be noticed forming groups based on their interests in a particular sport or a team. If they are avid football fans, they might collect cards that are available in the market and trade within each other for cards they would love to have. The same applies to baseball fans, they collect the gaming cards and for some it becomes more than a

Collectible College Sports – Get your Team Noticed Instantly

Collectible college sports are the items that are on sale which help promote a college team and help them reach heights. There are various college sports that are played in America, most of which would go unnoticed if not for these collectible college sports. The memorabilia available in all leading stores or the websites are a way to reach out to the public with collectible college sports rankings. This will benefit the team in increasing their revenue, which in turn would reflect on their ratings and finally on how well they fare in the game or not. Based on this, they might get a chance to play in the Super Bowl.. Trying to prove oneself and create a name is not a easy task, but can be achieved through hard work and support of fans. This is especially true for anything related to sports. If the fans flock the stands to watch a team play, waving the caps and jerseys with the team’s names on it, it is a sign that the team is faring well. The same applies to teams
